Plans are available using shared hosting plans when your budget is critical; using a VPS (Virtual Private Server) when your budget is a bit more flexible; using a combination of a shared hosting plan for your web site and email needs along with shared access to a Media Server, and lastly, a dedicated server with your own media server installed for your exclusive use.
Custom variations are available that we may fit into your exact needs and budget. Discounts are also available for annual prepayment as well as by referring us to a church or ministry that may benefit from our unique services.
We use legitimate bandwidth measurements that are industry standard and not complicated formulas intended to confuse you. As a Christian owned and operated service you can count on two things. 1) You will be treated with respect and honesty by principled Christians, and 2) We will not gouge you in the name of Christ.
Christian Hosting Solutions is recognized as a Streaming Technologies Certified Solution Provider. We provide Adobe Flash Media Server and Red 5 Media Servers to budget conscious but quality and performance minded ministries and churches worldwide. We also provide Icecast or Shoutcast streaming for radio station-like streaming feeds or live audio broadcasting.
Web hosting, Virtual Private Servers, and Dedicated servers are not the same as with standard servers from regular hosting companies. Live broadcasting and On Demand services are resource intensive and as a result we use only the most reliable and tested servers.
Additionally, the true barrier to live broadcasting is the amount of bandwidth available to you. Bandwidth is best described like water flowing through a pipe. The more bandwidth you have available increases the number of concurrent viewers. The average web hosting company simply cannot provide the bandwidth required for a large number of concurrent viewers and at an affordable price. The architecture of a web hosting network is not suited for live broadcasts.
All Christian Media Solutions services are scalable to match your growing and changing needs. |
Live Video Broadcasting: This is just like TV but allows you to stream your sermons or special events over the internet. Using Flash technology and a YouTube®-like interface your viewers are presented with a high quality broadcast. You may broadcast 24 hours a day or on a schedule.
Live Radio Broadcasting: This is just like radio where your Host broadcasts live to a listening audience. Using a mixer in your studio or automation software your Host is in control of your message. You may broadcast 24 hours a day or on a schedule.
Video-On-Demand (VOD): Similar to YouTube® your visitors click on a link or select a sermon or tutorial from a pulldown menu and watch at their leisure. Video-On-Demand is available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. A player may be embedded into your web site or the user may choose to use Windows Media Player®, WinAmp®, or other application.
Radio-On-Demand (ROD): Like Video-On-Demand your prerecorded messages are available for selection by your listeners 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. A player may be embedded into your web site or the user may choose to use Windows Media Player®, WinAmp®, or other application. Podcasting is also available to those that wish to download content to their iPod®.
Shared Hosting Plan: A shared hosting plan is the average hosted web site. It is suitable for Video and Radio on Demand with small audiences. Server resources are shared amongst web sites without limitations. A wayward site can bring down an entire server, although we diligently monitor all servers.
Virtual Private Server (VPS): A VPS is similar to a shared hosting plan in that a powerful server is divided into segments like a piece of pie and specific defined resources are allocated to that container. Only that container has access to the resources. A VPS is suitable for Video and Radio on Demand and small scale live video broadcasts.
Dedicated Server: A dedicated server is an entire server leased to just one customer that needs the maximum resources available and is ideal for live video broadcasting and below. Any ministry serious about the maximum number of concurrent viewers must have a dedicated server without exception. Various configurations are available to match your budget with your needs. |
